All parents are required to attend a pre-baptismal instruction. Please contact the parish office to make arrangements for this opportunity for spiritual renewal.
Couples contemplating marriage should notify the parish office at least six months before the date of their intended marriage.
This sacrament is celebrated every Saturday by appointment before the Mass.
The Sacrament of the Sick is for the comfort and strength of the ill. It is not just intended for those in immediate danger of death. It is a help and comfort to the living. If a Parishioner is homebound or hospitalized, please contact the parish office.
The following are the requirements for individuals who undertake the role of Sponsor for Baptism and Confirmation at Saint Rita Parish.:Persons seeking a Sponsor Eligibility Certificate to serve as a sponsor in another community must fulfill the requirements before a card will be issued.- At least 16 years of age- Already received the Sacrament of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation in the Catholic Church.- Attend Mass regularly on Sundays and Holy Day of Obligation and receives the Sacrament of the Catholic Church on a regular basis.- If Married, marriage celebrated according to the laws of the Catholic Church.- Sponsor is not the mother or father of the one to be baptized.- A member of a non-Catholic community may serve as Christian Witness for Baptism only together with a Catholic Sponsor who fulfills all the above requirements.- For Confirmation, it is desirable that the person who undertook the role of Sponsor at Baptism be Sponsor for the Sacrament of Confirmation. All the above requirements for a Sponsor for Baptism applies to a Sponsor for Confirmation. A mother or father may not serve as Sponsor for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
